What exactly is baby led newborn photography?

To me, It’s allowing your baby to be in positions they find the most comfortable & where they look natural. It’s photographing their movements and knowing even if not perfect, it’s what makes them unique so it gets a place in your gallery. It’s details that feel like more than a macro shot. It’s giving you a gallery where you can remember them in their most natural state, just as they entered this world. There will be plenty of opportunity for props if you wish as they grow and develop their personalities, but when they are brand new, photographing just them (without all the frill and unnecessary bending), is what I feel captures their true essence.
