Starting in 2014(b/c I’m booked for this year, yay!), I’m going to be offering a new style of newborn sessions! I’m calling them Fresh and simple newborn sessions. They will focus on just the baby very simply ‘posed’ and wrapped sweetly. I’ll capture their little details with my macro like their pouty lips, tiny fingers and toes, etc. I’ve avoided buying one of those newborn posing beanbags like the plague, but I’ve decided for this style it might just be a must. Along with some wraps, it will be all I bring to your session! No baskets, etc.!  Sessions will still be in clients homes, but I’ll just set up my beanbag next to a window with great light, so I’m still coming to you for the session. All I need is a sleepy newborn, some wraps that I’ll provide, and we are set! I still can incorporate a handmade special blanket that you might have too.  I’m not at all opposed to incorporating some mom/dad and baby shots, but the focus of the fresh and simple sessions are that new bundle in your life and all of his/her tiny baby details that you don’t want to forget. The sessions will come with a mini album and an option to purchase the digital files. As of now, I do lifestyle newborn sessions in your home, which I love, always will love, and always will offer, but I realize that they very much include the family and you may not want to be in as many or use your home as the backdrop. I’ve always been drawn to the natural and simple newborn style. I have nothing at all against the very posed newborn style that is very popular. Some people prefer that and that’s what’s great about photography. There’s someone out there to fit every style and whatever your needs are. I just know that I’m not the photographer that wants to use any props for newborns…unless it’s a family member:).

The session fee will be $275 and that includes a set of 3 mini accordion albums with your top 10 favorite images from your session. You can upgrade to a deluxe  hemp album for $60 more(highly recommend, they’re beautiful & include more photos). Photos of the tiny details are meant for an album so it just seems fitting to include that. These will also come with the option of purchasing your digital files for $125(printable up to 8×10 via a digital download). Higher resolution on a keepsake disk can also be purchased for an extra fee. I also offer canvases!
