Just 3 months ago I got to spend an evening with this amazing family at the beach. I struggled then with what to write in their blog post and you can read it HERE.
I was stopped right in my tracks yesterday when I heard the news that she had lost her battle with cancer. I didn’t believe those were the words I was actually hearing, no way, not Lorri, she was fighting it and she didn’t look sick to me! I had so much hope for them despite this ugly cancer that was taking over her body.
Today I just felt like I needed to put them back on the top of my blog.
I hear they are surrounded by family and friends and for some reason although it doesn’t relate to death, this verse came to mind:
Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”
Matthew 11:28: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”
Keep this family in your prayers, I’m sure they would appreciate it so much.
What beautiful images this family has to remember her by. Lifting them up in prayer.
Praying for them…love their pictures.
What a beautiful gift you’ve given the family <3
This is a perfect example of how important it is to have family photos done. They are absolutely beautiful and will give her children something to look back on when they miss their mom. Truly sorry to the family for their loss from someone who lost a parent to cancer. You’ll be in my thoughts.
