It was January and the year was 2012 when I packed up just my DSLR & a white newborn swaddle and took off for my very first paid at home newborn shoot in Summerville. I remember being so scared and nervous but more than that just excited to do this thing that I had been practicing and to officially launch my business based on this exact style.
At Home Newborn Photography Sessions are still the heart of Tickled Blue Photography and are the style of newborn shoot that I love most of all today, 11 years in!
I’ve been so blessed to meet many wonderful families not only welcoming baby #1, but also their second, third or fourth and what an honor that is.
It’s not easy, it’s a constant grind to stand out, to continue to offer something unique but also in my classic style, but I always feel that no matter what you do for a living, there is no one who can do it just like you can b/c it’s you and there’s only one of those.
So here I go, still going all of these years later doing this thing I found a love for so many years ago. If you’ve worked with me since 2012, you’ve supported my small business and I can’t say thank you enough for that. With every shoot, I’ve grown and I’ve learned, but most of all I’ve realized this is absolutely what I am supposed to be doing because it doesn’t feel like work to me and after all this time I still love it just like I did back then.
I’m excited beyond measure to introduce a new service for my newborn shoots. Nothing can replace well done photos in great light of you loving on your new baby at your home, but of course it can be enhanced and I’m dabbling in that through VIDEO-little mini movies.
