Summer is coming! 

June-August area a great time for family shoots and thankfully Charleston offers up a good variety in locations. My top two are of course downtown for the win, followed closely by the beach!

I love downtown for it’s character and uniqueness around every corner, but also b/c it’s so flexible with time of day. I do shoots downtown either in the morning OR evening so you’re sure to find a time of day that suits your own crew. I always try to take different routes with each family and mix it up, but if you ever see a blog post that catches your eye, let me know and we can take that route.

The beach in the summer is always a delight. The warm sun, the breeze and the sand always make for good smiles. In the collage below, one shoot was middle of summer, the other was November, but you can see the warmth in both. The beach is a little more particular with time of day, but an evening will usually work for most families if you have your heart set on the beach. Later naps and food, that will do the trick ;).
