He was born May 1st and spent this whole summer in the NICU, but now he’s home sweet home with mom and dad and had his long awaited photo shoot in his adorable nursery at home.
I wrote this poem the day he was born. The words just came and I started writing them down.
As I was editing these photos, these words kept coming back to me so I thought I’d write it out in his official blog post:

‘Sooner than planned
You’re smaller than my hand

You’re strong and mighty, even though so tiny

Perfect fingers and toes, we thought another 10 weeks to go

But today you came on a Sunday in May
Our lives forever changed by this glorious day

Our here, yes you
Laying there wrapped in blue

Through the monitors and tubes, we still just see you

Our baby, our heart
We have loved you from the start’

Still so tiny, but he sure is mighty! He kicks, punches, smiles so big and makes the most adorable noises. What a perfect little blessing he is and I feel just honored to have gotten to photograph him.
