I have had such a wonderful 3 1/2 weeks of maternity leave. I’ve taken SO many photos of my sweet baby girl over these last weeks and I have a huge blog post to share soon, but til’ then, I’m rolling out a BRAND NEW type of newborn session that I hope will catch on.

Some of my favorite photos of a newborn are just the very simple ones of them at home. Just that tiny new baby snug as a bug, in a simple onesie & sleeping soundly. I took many of Hallie just like this and thought, hmmm, maybe some folks would be interested in a session as simple as this.

I’m calling this session the ‘just baby’ lifestyle session. I always do some of just baby on the bed at a full lifestyle session so this would be just like I do for that, only more of ‘just baby’ and none of everything else I do at a full lifestyle session. It would take place in your home using just the bed in any room. They work the best with a pastel/solid/or just plain white comforter to lay the baby on(I will bring one if you don’t have one). Baby just needs to be in a simple or solid onesie and we can use one of your new(or old) baby blankets or I can bring a neutral one. I will take photos of your sleepy newborn just as they are. I may turn them on their side, place their hands together in some photos, and maybe put them on their belly, but they’ll be natural shots of your new bundle just as they are in those first 10 days of life at home.

If you want to be in the photos or want a sibling in them, the nursery, etc, I still have the full lifestyle sessions for you to purchase. This ‘mini’ newborn session is for JUST BABY shots. They’ll last up to an hour and you’ll get up to 15 photos via digital download for $225.
