The holiday season has come and gone…sigh. I never have liked taking down the tree, putting things back in the attic and saying goodbye to Christmas, but I do like starting a new year. Something feels fresh about it and I love that feeling. The last week of the year is when I wrap things up for the year, reflect on the good and the bad and see just how far I’ve actually come. It’s a time to slow it down a bit.
Looking back at 2011, I first can’t believe it’s over. I say that every year, but this year really flew by and having a new baby made me realize how fast time really does fly by! I’ve accomplished a lot this year and I’m so thankful for everything God has blessed me with from my family to my businesses and all the ideas in between. Being a new mom was my biggest challenge, and has been the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m forever thankful for my sweet baby boy and the joy he brings me every day. You’ll see lots of photos of him on this blog from time to time as he’s my inspiration for starting this whole venture and a perfect little model to practice on.

I’m excited for a new year and to see where this new journey might take me. I’ll be updating my site with rates, photos, etc in the coming days and plan to start my portfolio building in January 2012. I hope to work with you soon and take pictures that will last you a lifetime!
